Historic Equestrian Home Tour: The Guest Bedroom

Continuing on our tour of a historic home on an equestrian estate in Georgia. Watch the video to see more of one of the many guest suites in this 21,000 SF home.

Here’s the room’s current condition: the wall-to-wall carpeting is stained and worn, the drapery is stuffy, the wallpaper is yellowed (or maybe, unfortunately, that was the original intention), the fireplace has a strange gray-washed mantle with a solid surface surround and hearth, and the vibe is drab.

And finally, here’s the rendering showing my design concept which includes a Restoration Hardware brass canopy bed, black nightstands, equestrian artwork, the most beautiful equestrian toile wallpaper, rich olive green drapery, and a caramel velvet chair with a D-Ring Snaffle bit pillow.
